About 3QC

Three Quarter Comics was founded in 2009 by Christopher and Wendell Riley.  After co- founding Electro-Arc Comics in 1999 Chris created and established Terror of the Midnight Robber as the most popular and successful comic franchise in Trinidad and Tobago history.  Wendell joined the Electro-Arc team in 1999 and co-plots and scripts Terror of the Midnight Robber.  Three Quarter Comics was founded in the same independent spirit of creator-owned properties.  The Three Quarter team is committed to producing some of the most daring, exciting and original work in the industry.

Creator Biographies

Wendell Riley hails from the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago.  Fed a steady diet of comics, movies and Stephen King novels in his formative years, Wendell began working on Terror of the Midnight Robber while still in college.   He is currently the head writer at Three Quarter Comics and continues his work on Velocity Corps, TOTMR and Mango Chil'ren.  Wendell has also worked on the zombie comic Southern Exposure along with chronicling the weekly misadventures of Maggie Schmidt for Hip & Single.  Wendell currently lives in Shreveport, Louisiana and works at Moonbot Studios.

Christopher Riley began his comic book career with short stints in the animation industry in New York and doing ink assists for Marvel Comics after studying at The Kubert School in Dover, NJ.  He returned to Trinidad and Tobago determined  to help develop the local comic scene and created Terror of the Midnight Robber.  Chris oversees the creative direction of Three Quarter Comics, and currently handles the visual work on TOTMR, Velocity Corps and Mango Chil'ren, and has also worked on Maggie Schmidt and Southern Exposure.

In addition to establishing Three Quarter Comics as a showcase for their own work, the Riley brothers have also allowed other Trinidadian creators like Nigel Carrington, Kwesi Prescod and Jason Hendrickson to publish their work on the 3QC website. The brothers continue to promote comics as a viable creative outlet, teaching comic courses in both Trinidad and the US.
