Hollywood has been going back to the proverbial
well a lot these last few years, remaking, rebooting, and reimagining every old movie, TV show and board game that’s
available to option. But remakes are not new to the movie industry, and among the sea of tired retreads
there are a few gems that are worth their weight in cinematic gold. This week Jeremy Wockenfuss counts
down his top ten horror remakes.

2010 was a truly uneven year for movies,
dragged down by a particularly weak Summer crop. There were few surprises, and time and time again we had
to rely on the established heavyweights to bail us out. There were some standouts, many of which were sadly
overlooked by audiences in favor of more commercial fare. Here’s my top 10 list of movies for 2010.

movies are two things -
